Sometimes you learn something, and the information is so weighty that it immediately changes the way you think. This recently happened to me when I was passed an article on the impact of video marketing with the following stat:
1.8 Million Words – according to Dr. James McQuivery of Forrester Research, that’s the value of one minute of video. Do you have the time and energy to write 1.8 million words? That’s the equivalent of 3,600 typical web pages. If you write an average of one web page an hour, it would take you 150 days of writing to achieve the impact of one minute of video. When you look at it that way, online video marketing is the single most practical use for your marketing time and energy.
This stat led me down a rabbit hole learning everything I could on video marketing and the more I learned the more wow’d and convinced I was at how underrated and underused this magical tool is. I lost the better part of an afternoon because the more I learned, the more intrigued I was, the more I searched, the more I read.
Business owners sit up and take note. The research is saying that you need to be using video marketing in your online strategy.
